Onomatopoeia

Instructions

Welcome to Onomatopoeia! This game takes the classic FizzBuzz game and adds a variety of new rules to challenge your math skills. Follow these instructions to get started and have fun!

The objective of the game is to correctly identify the special property of the target number based on the selected rules. You will have multiple cards to choose from, each representing a possible property of the target number.

How to Play

  1. Select Rules:
    • You can choose up to three rules to play with, but we recommend starting with just one rule to get familiar with the game.
    • Once you feel comfortable, you can try playing with two or three rules for a more challenging experience.
  2. Start the Game:
    • Click the "Start" button to begin the game.
    • The game will generate a target number, starting from 1.
  3. Select the Correct Card:
    • Based on the target number and the selected rules, identify which card correctly represents the property of the target number.
    • For example, if you selected the "Fizz" rule (divisible by 3) and the target number is 3, you should select the "Fizz" card.
    • If you selected multiple rules, you may need to select a card that represents a combination of properties (e.g., "Fizz Zap" for a number divisible by both 3 and 4).
  4. Advance the Target Number:
    • If you select the correct card, the target number will increase by 1.
    • If you select the wrong card, an alert will notify you of your progress, and the game will end.
  5. Game Over:
    • The game ends when you select an incorrect card.
    • You can start a new game by clicking the "Start" button again.
