Instructions

Welcome to Shuffle! The goal of Shuffle is to correctly arrange shuffled words to form the accurate definition of a given word within a set time limit.

How to Play

  1. Select a Subject:
    • Start the game by clicking on one of the subject buttons (e.g., Maths, Science, Computing, Geography, Music).
    • This will load a word and its shuffled definition related to the selected subject.
  2. Arrange the Words:
    • You will see a word displayed at the top of the screen with its definition shuffled below it.
    • Drag and drop the shuffled words to rearrange them into what you believe is the correct order to define the word.
  3. Submit Your Answer:
    • Once you think the words are in the correct order, click the "Submit" button to check your answer.
  4. Scoring:
    • If the sentence is correct, you’ll be notified, and you can proceed to the next definition.
    • If it’s incorrect, you can try again until the time runs out.
  5. Time Limit:
    • You have 60 seconds to arrange as many correct definitions as possible. The timer will start when you select a subject.
  6. End of the Game:
    • The game ends when the timer reaches zero. Your final score will be the number of correct definitions you’ve arranged.

Rules

  • You must drag and rearrange the words to form a complete and correct sentence.
  • The words must be in the correct order to match the definition of the given word.
  • You can rearrange the words as many times as you like before submitting.
  • The game ends when the timer runs out, regardless of whether you’ve completed the current sentence or not.

Tips

  • Quick Start: Familiarize yourself with the definitions for the subject you choose to get off to a quick start.
  • Focus on Grammar: Pay attention to grammatical structure when arranging the words. Start with identifying the subject and verb to help structure the sentence correctly.
  • One answer: Each word can have multiple definitions, but each definition has a specific order so make sure you try all order combinations.
  • Practice: The more you play, the better you’ll become at quickly identifying the correct order of words, helping you score higher in future games.
